- Monitor the reading rooms;
- Put the documents away in the university library;
- Help monitor library usage (counting visitors, conducting surveys on where users come from, assisting with statistical tracking);
- Depending on the location and the specific duties, assist with opening and closing the university library, with the help of permanent staff and security personnel;
- Participate on an ad hoc basis in group projects at the university libraries.
Documentary Tutors
The SCD's Information Literacy User Training Department is recruiting library tutors.
Being a tutor at a university library means:
- welcome and assist undergraduate students to introduce them to the university libraries and their services, and guide them in their research;
- help design and facilitate training sessions (in-person workshops, tutorials, distance learning) on information resources, in conjunction with discipline-specific courses;
- develop expertise in the digital tools provided by university libraries and help promote their use among students.
Above all, it’s about enjoying sharing your experience and skills, and developing your interpersonal and teaching skills.
