- Anyone can write or improve an article Wikipedia. Find out how to contribute to the world’s largest online encyclopedia, step by step and without any technical requirements.
- In these workshops, you'll learn how to create an article, expand existing pages, and—most importantly—ensure their reliability by using verifiable sources.
Given the widespread adoption and now almost routine use of generative artificial intelligence tools to find information, what role can Wikipedia play in mitigating the risks of easily manipulable information? How can this collaborative online encyclopedia play a major role in promoting science and critical thinking, and serve as a reliable source of information accessible to everyone?
These workshops are organized by Nicolas Vigneron, a Wikimedian-in-residence at UM, at the University Science Library at theUniversity of Montpellier will explain how Wikipedia and the other tools in the Wikimedia “galaxy” serve science and make reliable scientific knowledge available to everyone.
