Frequently Asked Questions About PEB

The answers below apply to all users of the Interlibrary Loan service.

The PEB is a service offered by the Montpellier University Libraries that allows you to request a document not available in their collections. We reach out to the network of French and international libraries to obtain the document and make it available to you.

Start by submitting an interlibrary loan request. Once your request has been sent, you will receive an email notifying you that the document has arrived at the library you selected as the pickup location. This email will include a link to complete the online payment. Go to the front desk to pick up your document, then return it to the pickup library before the loan period expires.

It allows you to access books, theses, articles, or book chapters available in other libraries, both in France and abroad. Please note: some books or academic works cannot be checked out and are available for in-library use only; the lending library sets the rules.
