Accessibility and Adapted Services in University Libraries

Tailored Services

If you are a student with a disability, you have expanded borrowing privileges: you can borrow up to 20 items for 42 days.

If you are a faculty member, researcher, or administrative staff member with a disability, you have expanded borrowing privileges: you may borrow up to 20 items for 56 days.

To use the relevant services, log in to your account via the ENT and click the “Libraries” tile. You will then be able to:

  • request documents available at any library in the network;
  • have available, checkable-out materials set aside;
  • Reserve items you’ve already checked out: Once you’ve found the items in the catalog, click “Reserve” next to each item, then select your pickup library. You’ll receive an email inviting you to pick up the items at the front desk of your chosen library when they become available;
  • Renew your loans: From your reader account, click “Extend” next to each item;
  • return the materials to any library in the network;
  • Request a digital document tailored to your needs: submit the request online;
  • Reserve a workspace: Three rooms are primarily reserved for “Handy” users and can be reserved on the Affluences website: the Esther Duflo Room in the Richter Library (3rd floor), and the Higgs and Quintinie Rooms in the Sciences Library. Then, please check in at the library’s front desk to confirm your attendance.
